NEC Asia Pacific has announced that Toshiya Matsuki has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer.
Toshiya Matsuki has over 30 years of overseas business experience since he joined NEC Corporation of Japan in 1983 and has held both executive and sales management positions during his career. His work experience spans from serving at the Jakarta Representative Office as Chief Representative for two years and NEC Europe Ltd as Deputy General Manager for four years. Matsuki later returned to NEC Corporation to assume position as the Deputy General Manager of Americas and EMEA Sales Division in 2010 and became the Vice-President of the International Sales and Operations Business Unit in 2011.
Prior to his appointment as the new CEO of NEC Asia Pacific, he is also the Associate Senior Vice-President of NEC Corporation since the beginning of April 2013.
With his new appointment and responsibilities, Matsuki said, “I am honoured to be leading the enterprising and experienced team at NEC Asia Pacific. I am looking forward to this challenging position where we will continue to work closely with our NEC country affiliates in the Asia-Pacific region to cultivate and grow the NEC brand by bringing value, innovation and efficiency to our stakeholders.”

HP has announced new HP Converged Cloud solutions specifically for organizations in Asia-Pacific and Japan (APJ) to facilitate cloud adoption and simplify deployment to enhance business innovation and agility.
HP Converged Cloud is the industry’s first hybrid delivery approach and solution portfolio based on a common architecture that spans private, managed and public clouds as well as traditional IT. New HP Converged Cloud offerings for APJ include HP CloudSystem Quick Start Kit and HP CloudSystem Solutions.
The new offerings are built on HP CloudSystem, a core element of the HP Converged Cloud portfolio that aims to provide a complete, integrated and open platform that enables enterprises and service providers to build and manage services across private, managed and public cloud environments.
LifeSize has recently concluded its Asia Pacific Business Partner Conference 2013 in Bangkok. The conference aimed to enable partners in the region to learn to grow and transform their businesses with LifeSize’s industry-leading HD video conferencing solutions for the cloud era. Over 150 senior executives, sales professionals and technical experts from LifeSize’s community of solution providers attended, as well as members of LifeSize’s technology alliances, systems integrators, distributors and OEMs in the region.

Intel has hosted hundreds of Asia-Pacific channel partners at its annual Intel Solutions Summit, held this year in Bali, Indonesia. The Summit, held over three days, will provide Intel’s partner community with the tools to deliver solutions to businesses and consumers across the region. The Intel Technology Partner programme saw a massive increase across Asia-Pacific during the past year, with 7,000 new organizations added.

InMobi has announced the appointment of Anita Swan as Regional Marketing Director, Asia Pacific. She will spearhead the company’s marketing strategy for the region alongside the global executive team. Anita will be responsible for expanding InMobi’s marketing efforts in SEA, China, Korea, Australia, New Zealand and India with the local marketing teams in these markets.

Riverbed Technology has appointed Steve Dixon as its senior director, Asia Pacific (APAC) Channels. In this new role, Dixon will be responsible for ensuring that the Riverbed channel programme and partner ecosystem flourish within the Asia-Pacific region. By connecting customers with the right solutions and the right partners, Dixon will ensure that enterprises and government organizations recognize the maximum benefits from Riverbed IT performance solutions, including solutions for public, private and hybrid clouds.
Dixon brings to the role more than 25 years of experience within the IT industry. He previously held positions with Case Communications (now part of IBM), Cabletron Systems Australia and Kinetica before joining Riverbed in 2005.
