InfoComm University announces Education Programme

The InfoComm University, in association with InfoComm International, has announced education programme at Integrate. Held over three days and broken into four segments, the programme includes InfoComm Super Tuesday: Net-Centric AV,Government Industry Conference, The Future of Business Communications Conference and a keynote presentation.

A range of speakers from technical heads of some of the industry’s leading manufacturers, integration and systems experts to end users will cover a wide scope of topics ranging from making audio work well in business applications, updates to the Australian Wireless Audio Group Wireless Spectrum, systems connectivity between HDBaseT, Fibre, Coax or Cat6 and best AV practice.

The keynote will be presented by Scott Wills, CTS-D, CTS-I, Director of International Education and Member Services, who will present the latest facts and lessons learned about the Asia-Pacific region from the newly released 2012 InfoComm Global Market Definition and Strategy Study (MDSS).

BSEL acquires 51.1% stake

Birla Shloka Edutech Limited (BSEL) has announced the acquisition of 51.1% stake in Ojus Healthcare Private Ltd.


Owing to the majority ownership, Ojus Healthcare has allotted 12,50,000 equity shares and has become a subsidiary of BSEL. Under the terms of acquisition, the operations of Ojus will be managed jointly by BSEL and Ojus’s promoters. Further, two of BSEL’s personnel (Vijay Mishra and Sunil Abraham) have duly been appointed on the Board of Ojus.


N. Srikrishna, Managing Director, BSEL, said “The acquisition of e-governance will be a strategic fit for us and will further complement the bouquet of our educational services. The acquisition is expected to translate into additional revenues of Rs. 20 crore, on account of Ojus’s robust e-governance business.”

TCS BaNCS successfully upgraded

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has announced its customer, the Kuwait Clearing Company (KCC), has upgraded from the existing version of TCS BaNCS to the new version with highly scalable architecture for market infrastructure.


Equipped with high-speed communication interface capabilities, this new version also deploys Web Services. Further, with SWIFT messaging, improved security, bulk authorization features, and a complete multilingual system, providing Arabic reports, this enhanced solution was implemented by KCC well ahead of the timeline for the new trading software at the Kuwait Stock Exchange.


Talal Al-ghanim, Asst. GM, KCC, said, “We have enjoyed a long and rich relationship with TCS. This upgrade helps us offer improved customer services by supporting increasing transaction volumes, lowering operational windows and delivering above the expectations of market participants. In addition to the core depository platform, KCC removed many peripheral IT systems and replaced them with TCS BaNCS Market Infrastructure, including the Registrar Services platform.”

NIWeek 2012 to witness World of Innovative Speakers

National Instruments has announced the keynote and summit presenters for the NIWeek 2012 worldwide graphical system design conference and exhibition in Austin. Speakers include highly respected authorities to lead six specialized summits.


White House Science and Technology Office Advisor and Georgia Institute of Technology professor, Dr. Thomas R. Kurfess, will deliver the closing keynote address whereas; Robert Swan will host a session on reducing social disparity and environmental impact through innovation in emerging countries.

AXIS unveils dual PTZ network cameras

AXIS has introduced outdoor-ready, dual PTZ network cameras that aims to offer pan/tilt flexibility. The camera combines a thermal camera and a visual HDTV camera in one housing unit. The cameras are mission-critical surveillance scenarios for 24-hour monitoring of restricted areas.


The cameras provides simultaneous video stream from a visual camera and a thermal camera, allowing detection, recognition and identification from one single unit. AXIS Q87-E Network Camera Series is supported by video management software through the Axis’ Application Development Partner Program as well as by AXIS Camera Station.
