Trend Micro organizes CLOUDSEC Summits 2013
Trend Micro successfully has concluded the CLOUDSEC Summits 2013 in New Delhi. CLOUDSEC2013 highlighted the need to boost customer confidence and urged industry leaders, end-users and industry bodies to come together as businesses move towards rapid deployments around the three key areas of Consumerization, Cloud and targeted Cyber Attacks.
The tagline of the CLOUDSEC Summit 2013, “Have A Safe Journey”, seeks to inspire managers and users of cloud computing to adopt best practices and proven technologies from around the world to secure their journey from physical, to virtual, and finally to the cloud, in an efficient and effective way.

Acer India has announced its foray into the thin client computing market. With this launch, Acer will further widen its offerings in the desktop segment for its customers in the commercial space. NEC signs MoU with Chongqing for Cloud Development
NEC Corporation and Chongqing City have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to form a strategic partnership in the smart city and cloud service areas. This partnership will enable Chongqing to transform its industrial-oriented economy to communications industry hub.
Based on this partnership, NEC will allow establishment of a laboratory for the development of cloud service applications for government, traffic, disaster prevention, energy, medical system and agricultural uses, in addition to the development of cloud computing technologies in Chongqing city.
NEC will also form a local subsidiary focussed on cloud business and a data center supporting cloud service platforms . This alliance will also create an environment of human resources for the development of IT, cutting-edge technologies, products and services for local, national and global markets for Chongqing City.
HCL DDMS teams up with Unistal to channelize its Network
Unistal Systems and HCL’s Digilife Distribution and Marketing Services (DDMS) have announced their strategic partnership for the distribution of Unistal’s entire product range across metros, Tier-II and Tier-III cities of India.
Under this agreement DDMS would be the national distributor for Unistal to promote and sell its complete range of antivirus, data security, data recovery and data care products. The association is geared to enable Unistal to increase their presence and add 1500 channel partners in the next six months and reach out to a huge number of Indian consumers.

Emerson launches Rewards Scheme for Channel Partners
Emerson Network Power has announced that it will reward its Network Solution Partners (NSPs) and Value Added Resellers (VARs) in India under the ‘Excitement Unlimited’ channel scheme on achieving pre-determined sales targets of UPS systems during April 2013.
Under this scheme, channel partners will have the freedom to choose their target slabs and take home gifts of their choice on achieving them. The minimum sales target has been kept as low as Rs. 50,000.
In order to better incentivize partners, Emerson Network Power has also announced additional rewards for well-performing NSPs and VARs in A, B and C class cities. Targets for additional rewards have been set such that partners in smaller cities can easily qualify to win rewards equal to their counterparts in the larger cities.
Under this ‘Excitement Unlimited’ scheme, partners can avail prizes such as smart -phones, DVD players, home-theaters, LCD TVs, and laptops. They can also choose their own gifts as per the achieved sales targets by logging in to the recently introduced online gift redemption mechanism.
NICE bags Vendor Excellence Award from Temkin
NICE has announced that it has received Temkin Group’s Customer Experience Vendor Excellence Award 2013 for providing products and services that help organizations become more customer-centric.

Fujitsu announces new Environmental Action Plan in India
Fujitsu has announced that Fujitsu Group Environmental Action Plan, Stage VII has set new environmental goals for fiscal 2013 through fiscal 2015 (April 1, 2013 – March 31, 2016).
As per this plan VII, the Fujitsu Group strives to expand its contribution to addressing environmental challenges for both customers and society by further promoting the deployment of ICT throughout society as a whole. This plan also aims to leverage services and solutions to cut greenhouse gas emissions for customers and society by a total of over 26 million tons, to ensure that more than 50% of all newly developed products enable the highest levels of energy efficiency, and to increase resource efficiency by 20% compared to fiscal 2011.
