Samsung India has announced the launch of Samsung Galaxy J7 Max and Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro. The duo is the latest addition to Samsung’s smartphone J series and now comes with features like the revolutionary Samsung Pay and all-new Social Camera with f1.7 lens.

Both the smartphones sport a 13MP front camera with an f1.9 lens and back camera (flat back in Galaxy J7 Pro) with an f1.7 lens, and flash which enable users to take stunning low light photos and bright selfies even in dimly lit areas.
The Galaxy J7 Max is powered by a 1.6 GHz Octa-core processor, a 3,300mAH battery and 4GBof RAM that makes multi-tasking seamless. Galaxy J7 Pro also comes with a 1.6 Octa-core Exynos processor with 3GB of RAM and a 3,600mAH battery, ensuring an uninterrupted user experience.
Galaxy J7 Max and Galaxy J7 Pro are launched at a price of INR 17,900 and INR 20,900, respectively in Black and Gold colours. The Galaxy J7 Max will be available across retail stores starting June 20, 2017, while Galaxy J7 Pro is expected to be available in market from mid-July onwards.

Samsung has officially unveiled its Galaxy Note 3 flagship phone, the Galaxy Note 3 Neo phablet.
Galaxy Note 3 Neo sports a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 720×1280 pixels. The non-LTE (4G) version of the phone is powered by a 1.6GHz quad-core processor, whereas the LTE version is powered by a hexa-core processor. It is driven by an A15 1.7GHz A15 dual-core plus 1.3GHz A7 quad-core chip. The phone runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI layer on top. It packs a stylus (S-Pen) complete with most software features of Note 3, including Air Command, Easy Clip, Multi-Window and My Magazine.
The phone has 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage expandable up to 64GB via microSD card. The phone is backed by a 3100mAh battery.
The Galaxy Note 3 Neo also features an 8MP rear camera with BSI sensor, auto focus, smart stabilization, and LED flash (with high CRI), and a 2MP front-facing camera with BSI sensor. With the objective of promoting academic and research interactions for industry-centric knowledge and skill development, a collaboration agreement has been signed between IIIT- Bangalore and Samsung R&D Institute India, Bangalore at the International Institute of Information Technology Bangalore campus. The agreement was signed by Professor S. Sadagopan, Director of IIIT Bangalore, and Dr Jason Dongwon Kwak, Managing Director, SRI-B.
With this agreement, IIIT-B would run educational programs to meet the human resources development needs of Samsung leading to specific degrees of IIIT-Bangalore through its Work Integrated Learning Programs.
The educational programs conducted under this collaborative arrangement will offer the employees of Samsung an opportunity to enhance their academic qualifications and synergize theory and practice on a sustained basis so as to be multi-skilled with exposure to upcoming technological areas.

Delhi Technological University (DTU) and Samsung India Electronics Private Ltd have signed an MoU for collaborative projects, including the setting up of a Samsung Software Lab at DTU. The MoU was exchanged between Prof. P. B. Sharma, Vice Chancellor, DTU, and Stewart Hong, Managing Director, Samsung Software Engineering Lab – India, in the presence of Chief Guest for the occasion, Dr Kiran Karnik, Former President, NASSCOM.
Prof. Sharma remarked, “This is a momentous occasion for DTU. By signing this MoU with one of the most innovative companies, we are unleashing a new era of Industry-Academia partnership. This MoU will aid us in bridging the gap between graduating engineering and professional engineers as well as reduce the gap between lab level research and the research required by the industry in developing new technologies. The missing gaps in expertise at both the partners may be filled through this collaboration.”
