HMEL adopts IBM’s Analytics Solution

HMEL adopts IBM's Analytics Solution 

IBM has announced that HMEL, a joint venture between Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) and Mittal Energy Investment Pte Ltd., Singapore, has adopted a new IBM analytics-based solution to transform how the company manages its financial and operations data to boost business performance. 

 

The new IBM solution integrates information from the various components of the MES, enterprise resource planning (ERP), and control systems within the refinery and delivers a consolidated, single view of the data. The new technology will enable HMEL to analyze key corporate business processes, including planned versus actual investments, production, key performance indicators, among others. The system will generate near real-time information for HMEL business executives to use to make more intelligent decisions around optimizing productivity and margins.

 

Moiz Tankiwala, COO, HMEL said, “As a green-field project, we wanted to leverage the best of technology to ensure world-class operations and efficiency. We needed a solution that would provide us with a centralized view of all our assets for operational management purposes. CIAL fortifies operations with SAP

Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL) has adopted SAP AG’s flagship SAP ERP ECC 6.0 solution. The solution will enable different departments of CIAL to be connected over a unified network and will facilitate smoother information flow and access.   

 

The company needed a solution suite that would integrate the functions of different sections and departments on a single platform and include internationally accepted best practices and features. SAP’s ERP ECC 6.0 solution provides this and much more. The solution will be integrated with CIAL’s existing cargo and duty-free shop system and will boast of the ability to send live dashboard reports to senior management.  CIAL is confident that the project will instill greater transparency and agility in the system and will provide it with far greater operational proficiency. SAP’s partner Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) will implement the project and it is expected to go live in 18 months. The deployment will also include other solutions such as SAP SRM, Real Estate Management and BU-BI Analytics.

Sage India has revealed the successful implementation of Sage Accpac, a modular ERP application that provides financial & accounting support and inventory control and visibility, for Alila Diwa Goa Hotel.

Sage also recommended the installation of Sage Accpac, which features the ability to support multiple currencies, the presence of a strong reporting tool and its tight integration with other business applications like property management software. The adoption of the new system was implemented by Greytrix. Alila integrated a 10 user pack of Sage Accpac 100 with General Ledger, Accounts Payable & Receivable, Bank Reconciliation, Systems Manager, Inventory Module, TDS module and Purchase Order modules, to create the ERP platform that integrates seamlessly with Alila’s existing front end software applications.
